The CSV 65 is a new conceptual design introduced at the Parc Aberporth display in 2006. This airframe has been introduced to provide a platform for system and payload manufacturers to develop their products in a suitable airframe capable of payload capacity of nominally 35 kgs dependent upon full configuration, and be supplied with facility for wheeled take-off or could be direct launched with a TASUMA launcher.
The airframe is designed in modular fashion with joined wings and separate tail boom, enabling the complete package to be transported in a carton less than 2.5 metres long. The ubiquitous UEL AR741 power plant, with optional generator, allows for a flight duration of up to five hours with suitable bag tanks.
