The CSV X0 is a new conceptual design introduced at the Parc Aberporth display in 2007. This airframe has been introduced to provide a multi-capability platform for system and payload manufacturers to develop their products in an airframe capable of operations below 20 kgs with 4 – 5 kg payload capacity or 65 kgs TOW with 20 - 25 kgs payload.
The airframe can be supplied with facility for wheeled take-off or could be directly lauched with a TASUMA launcher. Designed in a modular fashion with two-piece wings, twin booms and a conventional tail assembly, the disassembled airframce can be easily transported in a carton less than 1.8 m long. The power plant is dependant on the desired configuration, with possibilities ranging from 50 - 160 cc, or the new UEL 10 HP rotary, all of the options available with generator as required, enabling a flight duration of up to five hours with suitable bag tanks.
