Emulated Micro Air Vehicle, with Roke Manor Research

Emulated Micro Air Vehicle Experimental suspended assembly carrying cameras and sensors with auto computer positioning by location of display disc shown here on top surface. Movement thrust via twin electric ducted fans and micro helicopter tail unit.
Emulated Micro Air Vehicle Diagramatic assembly of test rig.
Emulated Micro Air Vehicle TASUMA also manufactured the Suspension Jib Assembly mounted on the roof/wall of the Roke-Manor building.
Emulated Micro Air Vehicle Close up view of Mk I Mini-MAV, using electric ducted fans for both propulsion and also as bi-directional tail rotors.
Emulated Micro Air Vehicle Top view of Micro-MAV.
Emulated Micro Air Vehicle Front view of Micro-MAV. Twin cameras and sensors are mounted low down to give stereoscopic capability.
Emulated Micro Air Vehicle Micro-MAV side view, all fabricated items of structure in moulded carbon/epoxy.
Emulated Micro Air Vehicle Micro-MAV shown endeavouring to approach and locate itself onto a simulated brickwork structure.

Electric Powered Parafoil with Autonomous Control Capability, with Roke Manor Research

Emulated Micro Air Vehicle Experimental electric powered parafoil carrying video and GPS transmission equipment. Possible use for battlefield surveillance, damage assessment or N.B.C. detection, in use as a disposable item.

Concept Aircraft - Southampton University Wing Design

This project was the implementation of a prototype build of a concept wing design developed at Southampton University, for a lightweight, high load bearing construction. The photographic imagery shows a progressive incremental load provision up to and beyond the required specification, to a maximum in image four of 46kg load. Southampton Concept Wing
