| A hand launch Mini-UAV designed for operation by two personnel, the Hawkeye comprises a self contained backpack containing a single aircraft and ground control station for complete operation. The air vehicle is self stabilised and capable of autonomous flight, following four pre-programmed GPS waypoints. An alternative waypoint may be introduced at any time during the flight, and the air vehicle will automatically return to base on loss of command signal. Powered by a brushless 3-phase DC motor with rare earth magnets, the airframe requires minimal flight skills and all components can be quickly assembled and disassebled for packaging within the single backpack, with a ruggedised control console for maximum life, showing realtime GPS positioning and video display. Seperate hand controls are also provided for manual flight operation, as well as a tripod stand for mounting of the Command and Receiver Aerial systems. |  |
